Yerunda is a typeface inspired by typography found in children’s book from USSR. Sharp poster calligraphy that would usually be drawn by hand or stencils i decided to digitalised and to experiment how it would look if transfer it into latin alphabet.

Development

This is a project where the process was more important than outcome itself. I chose to work in program called Glyphs, which was a blessing and a curse. Even though it s similar to illustrator I still had to learn how it works from scratch.

Yerunda helped me to understand typography and how it works better in making it looking organic with not typical forms.
